Itinerary description
Mostly "road", although the surface was so flooded and covered in wheel-swallowing potholes that even on a gravel bike I had to take it slowly in places, with some deep flood crossings at regular intervals. Ellesmere on a quiet day makes a perfect halfway point, although this time the perfect coffee eluded me. Great view of a multitude of meres around Ellesmere and potentially some tempting pub stops. Route 45 makes a good finish, although I left it to go through Upton Magna and joined Route 81 to ride into Shrewsbury along the river.
