Itinerary description

A casual and worthwile Gravel loop around Vidago, offering nice views across the valley and impressions of the beautiful villages of Vidago and Vila Verde.

The route follows the
Tamega e Corgo in the first bit, a former rail track, and then the Trilho da Ribeira de Oura.

Bring a gravel or mountain bike, or a trekking or city bike with wide tires. Not suitable for road bikes, as the tracks are mostly gravel, dirt roads or cobble stones.

This is day 1 of a multiple day bikepacking trip which is highly recommended to do if you're an outdoor lover. You can rent a bike in Porto and take it on the bus to Vidago, or even to Chaves, if you fancy doing a longer trip.
