Start and Finish: Casa de Luz (or Plaza de Pitres (the Centre))
This circle walk brings you along the "acequias", artificial canals that distribute the precious water over the land of the Alpujarra for agriculture and water to drink.
You will enjoy the panoramic views over the Alpujarra with its white villages. The small paths along the acequias may be humid.

Easy to follow

Easy
We set off early in the morning on a very hot day in August and found this to be a most pleasant walk. I am not used to seeing verdant colours when walking in Spain so this proved to be a very refreshing change. The walk was easily followed and not too difficult underfoot. The views were excellent and it proved not to be too difficult.
