Comment : 1000d+ near Neuchâtel ? climb the same mountain twice ! I noticed the trench under the power lines and had to scratch a "vertical" itch after Fully KV so I tried this off-trail vertical, on the descent I took the wrong path and ended up at Enges, don't do that, go back to Voens directly from Chaumont. You can only do this hike in winter when the vegetation under the power lines has been cut, this region has lots of ticks in summer and fully grown bushes would be impassable anyway that climb is 500d+ of 50% slope not for casual hikers, it's harder than the funicular trail which is actually used in a vertical race
