Itinerary description

Date : 2021.09.08
Duration on paper : 06h46
Duration real with breaks : 08h16
Difficulty for me : T5
Physical : very difficult
Technical : very difficult
Fear : very high
Attendance ascent/summit/descent : low/low/null
Comment : one of my 1st "off-trail" (unofficial) segment, dent de Broc climb is already straining adding a T4 then T5 is not for everyone, the T4 segment to the Dent de Broc summit is very scary because it starts with an unsecured narrow path next to the void deadly dangerous, the actual climb requires hands but isn't as scary, all happy to have beaten my fear (I didn't dare go to the summit my 1st time) I knew there was an unofficial trail crossing to Dent du Chamois so that was next on my list, it it starts by a short climb on dirt and grabbing grass patches, this is not a walk or a hike it's a climb once you start it for most hikers there's no way back I sure wasn't going back down so was forced to continue and things only got worse, there's a trail not always visible but clearly people go there, then you have to find your way to the top or side of the crest, on one side ultra steep slope on the other a cliff, you really can't make a mistake here at best you can expect a life threatening injury on the slope side on the other it's zero chance of survival...the path is pretty narrow in my 360° video you can see me crouch down for a few seconds I was too scared to continue, it's clearly a T5 it's not for beginner hikers nor groups or families, only 100% sure footed experienced T4 hikers
I rated it technically difficult mostly due to the required trust in yourself and your movements if you can grab rocks tree branches or grass patches confidently then you should be fine, gloves strongly recommended as I held on "to dear life" most of the way ><
DO NOT ATTEMPT BEFORE WATCHING MY VIDEOS SOME PARTS ARE BARELY 12" 30cm WIDE
