Itinerary description
Parked near campsite and sports club in Rambla Pau Casals, Tossa de Mar.
Walked ahead to the first signpost indicating straight ahead to Puig de ses Cadiretes
Gentle walk uphill, wide path, all well signposted.
Passed Coll de Sastre, pins de Bisbe (pine tres), ruins of la Mare de Deu de Gracia.
Continued uphill - cork trees, panoramic views of forest, Tossa and sea.
Finally turned left to go up a narrow path to Puig de ses Cadiretes. Spectacular views and at least five small nativity scenes still in tact among the large rocks around the wooden watch tower.
Went back down the narrow path to continue the circular route back to Tossa de Mar, following signposts.
Nearer Tossa we came across a dog refuge, a water purification plant and oficial rubbish dump just before arriving at Parc de sa Riera.
Followed signs to the centre of Tossa, passing a giant pine tree - pi gros de Can Martí - which is more than 250 years old.
Crossed the riera (dry river bed) near our starting point and then back at the car.
A pleasant, fairly easy morning walk followed by a swim in the sea to cool down.
