Itinerary description
Day 1: red + green trail.
Easy start through the valley along the lakes. Challenging, but very rewarding climb up to the ridge (2600m). From there follow the ridge and enjoy the great views. The green trail leads into the valley. The marking is not always clear. At the crossing with the brown trail you can choose to turn left to the Begovitsa hut (+1 hour), or turn right and follow the brown trail to the Spano Pole hut (45 min)
Day 2: brown + yellow trail.
Continue the brown trail, a good path climbing up to the pass of 2500m, which is also the crossing with the yellow trail leading back to the Vihren hut. The first 100m descend is a steep scramble over the rocks; after that the path is easier.
