Itinerary description
We started this walk in Tabernas itself, a village dominated by Moorish castle ruins from the eleventh century.
The Tabernas desert is a well-known film location for films like The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Assassin's Creed, as well as the Spaghetti westerns with Bud Spencer.
Even on this relatively short hike you will be able to feel the intensity and loneliness of the desert with its imposing sometimes even lunar landscape.
On the hike we did you will come across two info panels with the films that have been shot on that particular location.
The photos have been highly influenced by the high amount of Sahara desert dust.

Horrible, a evitar, os perderéis, cuidado batería móvil, agua…
Horrible, imposible a seguir , cuidado batería teléfono y agua, imprescindibles…
Obviously, the heat of the summer does not provide the best circumstances to walk in this desert. Overall it is also advisable to walk gps trails with a gps device and not with a telephone. And of course always make sure that you bring enough water on your walks.
