Itinerary description

Two great stops on this trail: Zaarour Balcony with its 360-degree views and the caves.
I do this hike every couple of years. It is a highland hike mostly on dirt roads.
Try to do this trail early spring or in the fall to avoid the excruciating sun. Having said that, I also enjoy doing it ion the summer where the gold color of the vegetation is dominant.

Apple Warehouse / Cottage

This place has been under construction for a long time; but I see progress.

Water Spring

a first and last spring on this route. Great place to cool off. It is also a picnic area.

This person, I am told, is from the town of Marjeyoun and married to a lady from Mtayn. He built this church for the believers to visit on weekends.

Zaarour Ski Station

Highest point in the hike. There is a man-built balcony here; a great place to have a break and enjoy the 360-degree views of the landscape.

Caves I

These caves are in a rock formation. It is a bit difficult to access them. These caves are the highlight of the trail. Please please be careful, DO NOT GO IN if you are not an expert in caving.
