Itinerary description
I always looked at the balcony above the cliff and wondered how to get there. Finally I had my chance. The trail started from Haret Jandal and went down to the Mokhtara river passing by the balcony. The view from there is breathtaking with the valley beneath you extending as far as the eye could see.
There was a memorial (grave) of a young man in there (Jad Taysir Thebian - A quick search on Google produced nothin)
The trail went down the cliff using natural rock switchbacks leading to the bottom of the valley. At the valley the trail took a left turn passing by a camping site. The trail then connected with the Mokhtara trail all the way back to Ain Qini.
The trail has a part of it where some municipality made it a sewage dump. It was a sad day for me with the environmental damage this is causing; especially with the sewage pouring into the Mokhtara river.

Make sure you go down to walk by the river bank once you get to this point. The old trail is somehow interrupted; you are better off to walk by the river which will connect you back to the trail.
