Itinerary description

English
This time we travelled to Geiranger from Andalsnes sleeping in one of the camping in this place.
We started to walk from a small car park placed near Geiranger driving two kilometers from the village of Geiranger beside the fjord. We had to pay 120 K to park but if you don´t want to pay you can park in Geiranger and go walking by the road.
At the begging you must walk up through a pretty forest beside the Geiranger fjord. Little by little a better sight of the places around appears. We walked over smooth rocks too. The day, fortunately, was very nice, there were no clouds in the Norway sky so all the picture was, reall, beautiful. We were very lucky in this way. We started very near the sea level walking beside the fjord, but a few meters ago, we walked on the snow. The terrain will be white very soon and it was more difficult to advance. At last, we reached a place with some ancestral cottages that belongs to the historic patrimony of Norway. The roofs were built with a vegetal cover and the walls were built of wood of the forest. Really very, very nice! We wanted to go on upper, but the snow was very soft and it was quite difficult to advance. We decided not go on upper and we turned back tranquility by the same way.
The track is quite easy to walk and really very nice. The sight of the Geiranger Fjord and the high mountains is incredible.
We, really, enjoy very much.
We travelled from Geiranger to Melkevoll-Briksdalbreen by car. A part of the trip was sailing into a ferry boat crossing the Geiranger Fjord.
We spent the night in Volkevoll camping in a beautiful cabin
