La ruta comença a Nusfjord seguint una pista de grava en direcció Sud i gira per seguir el sender de la costa que mena a Nesland. En arribar a un turó ja veiem el Tonsasheia. Es el moment de deixar el camí de Nesland i començar la pujada al cim. El camí es fàcil i ben marcat, però cal fer atenció a un pas tècnicament mes difícil: Forta pujada per una tartera de grava solta i molt relliscosa. Superat aquest pas arribem a un altiplà a 438 m des d’on ja gaudim de bones vistes. La resta de pujada fins al cim es costeruda, però fàcil. Imaginem que les vistes des de dalt han de ser espectaculars, però la boira ens va impedir gaudir de la panoràmica, a més de fer-nos baixar ràpidament per el mateix camí de pujada. En arribar a Nusfjord no us perdeu la visita a aquest interesant poble pescador, avui convertit gairebé en un museu.
