La platja de Kavalvika es un lloc idíl·lic que cal visitar. Una platja de sorra blanca envoltada d’escarpades muntanyes, entre les que destaca el RYTEN amb un penya-segat que s’aixeca més de 500 metres. El mirador del Ryten té una de les vistes més complertes i impressionants de les illes Lofoten: L’oceà obert amb les onades que acaricien la blanca platja, els penya-segats, els prats verds i humits, les altes muntanyes que envolten la platja i la majestuositat dels fiords. Sens dubte una de les millors excursions per fer a les Lofoten. I si el temps i les forces acompanyen encara ens podem arribar al veí cim de Middagstinden. Hi ha diferents maneres de fer l’excursió i diferents punts on començar i acabar. Es pot fer travessa (calen dos cotxes) o circular. Aquesta es la circular més curta que hem trobat, i al mateix temps molt complerta i amb varietat de paisatges.

DIFICULTAT: Fàcil/Moderat.
TIPUS TERRENY: Inicialment zones herboses i zones humides. La baixada de Forsvatnet a Kavalvika es una tartera. Sorra de platja. La pujada fins a Skoren es un tram rocós.
DURADA: Entre 3 i 4 h. Per a Middagstinden cal afegir 1 hora més
PUNT D’INICI: Bergland . 2 kilòmetres al SW de Fredvang i 900 m abans de l’aparcament de Kavalvika.
