Itinerary description
A mixture of three other Wikiloc tracks. I parked my car at Camping Sierra Espuna just a few hundred meters from unmarked trailhead. The first 9.7 km is very easy going and besides a few places, it is clear where the track is. From 9.7 to 11.8 you start climbing up with an average grade of 15 % and a max grade of 35 %. Up around remains of old houses, I couldn't see any trail, and scrambled upwards following a Wikiloc route on my Garmin 1000.
Between the two summits, I was able to follow an unmarked track. Easy and visible track down to a dirt road (17.5 km), but from here, the track was not very good and not always visible. I really recommend using a GPS device for this part. Mine was running low on battery, so I only turned it on occasionally, and therefore I missed there the trail leaves a dirt road to bring you down in a gully, but descending from 22 km, there was some stone markings to follow to the bottom.
From 22 to El Berro, the trail is mostly of bad quality and not very interesting. The highlight for me was spotting a large group of barbary sheeps.
In conclusion, a quite varied hike and also very varied quality of the trail. Almost no markings, so download the route to your GPS. Besides a short steep climb, it is easy going.
