Itinerary description
Spectacular 6 hour circular hike!!! First half of ascent was splendid and we signed. Second half before chains we haf to bushwhack through a steep forest - no notable path. Some pretty scary (but not impossible) chains during final 200 metres. First chain: short and doable. Second: almost vertical rock face - walked up holding ropes. Third - probably the scariest because it was high. After the chain we had to manouvre ourselves around boulders to reach the red tower on top (not for faint hearted!). We are not technical climbers but you should not be scared of heights, sheer drops and scaling rocks. Unbelievable panoramic views of Montsec and Ager valley one side and snow capped peaks of Pyranees the other side! Walk along the top was beautiful and rewarding. The first half of the descent is very steep. The second half not so much and we jogged down!
