Itinerary description

The trail sets off at the railway station of Corniglia. From the end of the narrow paved road that runs in parallel with the railway, the long stairway called Lardarina climbs uphill on 365 easy and even steps. After crossing the paved road Via alla Stazione and passing by the intersection with trail 587 Corniglia - Cigoletta, the trail reaches parish church of Saint Peter from where an alley on the left leads to the village center. The trail instead continues straight until the intersection with a limited traffic road nearby the Park's checkpoint.

The trail continues on the bridge over the stream named Rio della Groppa and ascends through a beautiful olive grove then, past the Guvano cove and a pic-nic area nearby, it climbs up toward the hamlet of Prevo. From the hamlet of Prevo the trail continues through olive groves, on apparently flat ground, then climbs down the stairway that leads to the faulty Costa di Macereto, with a vegetation of Indian fig opuntia and agave plants. After crossing trail 507 Vernazza-Cigoletta, the stunning sight of the tower of Vernazza indicates that the village is within easy reach.
