Itinerary description

Walk No.54 from Patrick Elvin's "40 Half Day walks in the Serrania de Ronda and Jimena area". A challenging walk with a big climb near the end to the trig point of Tajo Bermeja (1137 metres), but you are well rewarded with amazing 360 degree views.

Head for the white house you can see above you, and then bear right towards the fence. You'll pick up a good path which follows the line of the fence.

About 1 hour 10 minutes from the start of the walk to here. There are views on both sides. A good place for a short rest and a snack before tackling the climb which is awaiting you.

There are some goat paths but you are just aiming to walk up the middle of the valley to the ridge ahead and above you. This is a stiff climb and is rocky underfoot.
