Saturday 2020Jan04. Planning 33km +/-0m, 8h. Details below. (En anglès, perquè espero que tingui continuació internacional.) *** This walk shall be continued with further walks. I will put "BCN20" in the titles of all walks of this series, meaning "from Barcelona, year 2020". Could be continued with "BCN21" etc. ***
!You could make this walk about 1 km shorter if you keep on the sea side of the railway instead of crossing it at km9.3! The section of my route behind the railway gives an impression of the Chinese stores typical for this place, and I wanted to eat a tasty Chinese noodle soup there.

1. Barcelona, Liceu (09:00=start) - 2. Catedral (09:10) - 3. Bishop's Street - 4. Catalan government (opposite townhall) - 5. Santa Maria del Mar (09:20) - 6. towers Torre Mapfre and Hotel Arts (09:40) - 7. sundial at Bogatell beach (09:50) - 8. sundial at Fòrum zone (10:20) - 9. 味之面 restaurant (11:00, not open) - 10. Badalona, bronce "Darwin" ape of "Anis del Mono" liquor factory (11:20) - 11. Masnou port (12:40-13:45 break in a mediocre European style Chinese restaurant) - 12. Meridià Verd (14:10, end point of a hiking or bicycle route commemorating the measurement of a meridian arc from here to Belgium in order to determine the length of a Meter = 1/10,000,000 distance between pole and equator) - 13. first of a series of dry riverbeds ("riera" in Catalan) that could get flooded with heavy rains (14:50) - 14. Mataró train station (16:40 = finish).
I live in Barcelona and returned there by train.
