Itinerary description

Friday 2020Jan03. (En anglès, perquè espero que tingui continuació internacional.) *** This short city walk starts near my home and shall be continued with further walks. I will put "BCN20" in the titles of all walks of this series, meaning "from Barcelona, year 2020". Could be continued with "BCN21" etc. ***
Start = breakfast in Barcelona Sants, street Carrer Sagunt, at Bodega Salvat at 10:30 a.m. (opens at 10a.m.? - when I pass there at 9 a.m. on my way to work, it is still closed).
Route via Sants Estació (Barcelona's main railway station), Plaça Universitat (waypont), Carrer Tallers, crossing Ramblas.
Finish = 11:40 a.m. at Barcelona Ciutat Vella, street Carrer Petritxol, bookshop Llibreria Quera, founded 1900, specialized in hiking & mountains, books & maps. (However, the only map I bought for this tour - 1:100,000 French IGN map Top 100 174 "Carcassonne Béziers Perpignan"- was not available there, as they don't sell such rough scales, rather 1:50,000 or finer).
Return: 1 minute walk to Liceu metro station (see next walk), then green line L3 home to Barcelona Les Corts.
