Itinerary description
Little morning walk to wake up around Abbaye de Niedermunster. This was a very important site related to the main Abbey on top of Mt. St. Odile, very famous in the Middle Ages for the piece of the true cross that was in the church, and was the destination of many pilgrims. Its story is quite interesting and worth knowing.

This walk connects the ruins of the Abbey, the ols Chapel of St. Nicolas, and also the Chapel of St. Jacques that is on the way to Compostela (only 2290 km away...)
The walk was based on this site

but the trail is partly closed as it crossed a private farm. This track is a good compromise to visit the site.
