Itinerary description
More than ten centuries ago, the Arabs channelled part of the waters of the Guadalmina River to supply farmhouses and irrigate vegetable gardens. The current acequia (irrigation stream) has been built on top of the old one, and it has been adabted so that you can enjoy walking along it. Follow the camino del agua (water trail) to a suspension bridge over the Angosturas canyon. Be ready to fell the freshness of the water, smell the wet soil, hear the birds singing and unwind surrounded by the Mediterranean riverbank forest.
The trail has an there and back section almost halfway through that should not be missed. It take us to areas where the path hangs over the walls of the Guadalmina river, bringing new sensations to our route.
