Itinerary description

Done it two days/one night but of course can be done with less rush as there are yourt camps and homestays along the trail.
Quite of an easy walk until it starts the real climb. The closer you get to the lake the more technical, steep and fragile the trail becomes so plan accordingly. Amazing turquoise coloured Ala-kul lake worth the climb. After that there's an even steeper climb that takes you up to 4000m - ish and forces you to dig deep and stay sharp. Once up there the view is amazing and you can see the two sides of the trek, the lake and a glacier. Steep walk down too, then the trail takes you through the valley where you can sleep the night if you wish. Did a detour to a lil lake formed by a glacier in Altynarasan valley, it's a 8kms one way, totally worth it, the walk leads you through this green valley owned by cattle and marmots.
Notes: a lot of uncertainty when it comes to river crossing by my side, so just double check the trail. The last 10-15kms are an easy walk
