Alava1000+ 1001 m Arburu

Según mendikat.net, en Álava existen casi 250 montes de mil metros o más. Éste es el Arburu, de 1001 metros

Descripción del monte (extraído de www.mendikat.net):

Cima del Macizo de Izki que se encuentra en San Kristobal (1.057 m) y San Justi (1.024 m). Cualquiera de los itinerarios a esas dos cimas citadas nos colocará en su cima con facilidad

Mi ascensión

El coche se queda en Arluzea. La primera subida es la más empinada de todo el camino aunque es sencilla. Justo al llegar arriba se gira a la derecha y nos metemos por un bosque que no tiene la senda muy bien marcada. No tiene pérdida porque a la derecha hay un cortado. Al final, cuando se llega al raso, se pueden ver bastantes aves rapaces. Se sigue por un llano, hasta San Justi (1024 m). La cima del Arburu (1001 m) está marcada con una humilde piedra, no tiene ni cruz ni buzón. El camino desde Arburu de vuelta hasta Arluzea no tiene ninguna complicación, salvo si quieres buscar la cueva de Las Señoritas. Encontrar la cueva es un poco complicado porque la senda no se ve bien y lo más probable es que acabes dando vueltas entre los arbustos. Si andas bien entre maleza y con terreno en pendiente, anímate a bajar a buscar la cueva. El nombre de la cueva parece que se debe a que fue el refugio de dos mujeres que fueron expulsadas de su pueblo por tener la peste

Día fresco y luminoso. En conjunto, es una ruta sencilla, apta para cualquier persona que tenga costumbre de andar por el monte

My ascent

The car stays in Arluzea. The first climb is the steepest of all the trail although it is easy. Just at the top, turn right and we get into a forest that does not have the path very well marked. You can't get lost because on the right there is a cut. At the end, when you reach the edge, you can see many birds of prey. We continue along a plain to San Justi (1024 m). The summit of Arburu (1001 m) is marked with a humble stone, it has neither cross nor letterbox. The way from Arburu back to Arluzea has no complications, except if you want to look for the cave of Las Señoritas. Finding the cave is a bit tricky because the path is not easy to see and you will probably end up wandering around in the bushes. If you can walk well in the brush and on sloping terrain, go down and look for the cave. The name of the cave seems to be due to the fact that it was the refuge of two women who were expelled from their village for having the plague
