Según mendikat.net, en Álava existen casi 250 montes de mil metros o más. Éste es el Lorritxo, de 1024 metros

Descripción del monte (extraído de www.mendikat.net):

Cumbre y vértice geodésico de La sierra Brava de Badaia. Es una pequeña elevación apenas diferenciada de la cercana Oteros (1038 m), que es el techo de la sierra. Sin embargo, posee una posición que permite observar la capital Alavesa lo que da cierto interés panorámico a esta cima cuya ascensión se puede combinar con la de Oteros, por lo que sus accesos son comunes

Interesante es la travesía integral de la sierra, cómoda por el escaso desnivel a vencer aunque monótona. Puede iniciarse en Langraitz Oka (498 m), al contar con estación de tren, o en Mondaita (624 m), y terminarla en Aperregi (627 m) o mejor en Murgia (618 m), con servicio de autobuses. También puede desarrollarse en sentido inverso

Figuró en el catálogo de montes del año 1950 en la posición 98 del listado de montes de Araba

Mi ascensión

Ruta sencilla, sin mayor complicación que la pendiente, tanto a la subida como a la bajada. Puede llegar a valores de 16 – 18%

El coche se deja en un extremo del pueblo de Zuhatzu-Kuartango y desde allí mismo se comienza a subir. Una vez que se ha alcanzado la planicie superior, es muy agradable caminar por la pradera, siguiendo las distintas sendas. Estamos en medio del parque eólico Badaia. Es muy peligroso caminar por un parque eólico si hay riesgo de hielo, por los grandes bloques que pueden desprenderse de las palas

La cima consta de un pequeño buzón montañero y un vértice geodésico. Lo más interesante de la cima es la vista que hay de la ciudad de Vitoria-Gasteiz pero para eso tienes que tener visibilidad, no como me pasó a mí

No hay ninguna posibilidad de pérdida. En un día caluroso esta ruta puede ser un infierno porque no hay sombra de ningún tipo

Summit and geodesic vertex of La sierra Brava de Badaia. It is a small elevation barely differentiated from the nearby Oteros (1038 m), which is the roof of the mountain range. However, it has a position that allows to observe the capital of Alava, which gives certain panoramic interest to this summit which ascent can be combined with that of Oteros, so their accesses are common

Interesting is the integral crossing of the mountain range, comfortable for the little unevenness to overcome although monotonous. It can start in Langraitz Oka (498 m), since it has a train station, or in Mondaita (624 m), and finish in Aperregi (627 m) or better in Murgia (618 m), with bus service. It can also be done in the opposite direction

It appeared in the 1950 mountain inventory in position 98 of the list of mountains in Araba

My ascent

Easy trail, with no major complication other than the incline, both uphill and downhill. It can reach values of 16 - 18%

The car is left at one end of the village of Zuhatzu-Kuartango and from there you start to climb. Once you have reached the upper plain, it is very pleasant to walk through the meadow, following the different paths. We are in the middle of the Badaia wind farm. It is very dangerous to walk through a wind farm if there is a risk of ice, because of the large blocks that can be detached from the blades

The summit consists of a small mountain mailbox and a geodesic vertex. The most interesting thing about the summit is the view of the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz but for that you have to have visibility, not as it happened to me

There is no chance of getting lost. On a hot day this route can be hell because there is no shade whatsoever
