Alava1000+ 1043 m Mendibibila

Según mendikat.net, en Álava existen casi 250 montes de mil metros o más. Éste es el Mendibibila, de 1043 metros

Cumbre al Norte de Arburu (1047 m), ligeramente más baja que aquella, sobre el cortado que se dirige hacia Sabando (782 m). Cualquiera de las rutas que conducen a la cumbre de Arburu o Arboro sirven para alcanzar esta cima

Mi ascensión

Breve y sencilla ruta, lo que no quita que sea muy bonita y entretenida

Salimos desde Cicujano, donde dejamos el coche a las afueras del pueblo, en un espacio que hay en el arcén, pasada la iglesia de la Degollación de San Juan Bautista. Que vaya con el nombrecito…



Tras cruzar la verja verde, empieza una subida de unos 2.6 km, con un 10% de desnivel, que se sube cómodamente. Parte de la subida es a través de un precioso robledal con alguna conífera y bojs. La senda está claramente marcada aunque hay muchos desvíos a un lado y a otro que hay que controlar. El suelo de toda la ruta es tierra o tierra con piedras; nada de aslfalto



Cuando se llega a la cresta, entramos en otro bosque, esta vez de hayas, por el que discurre el camino por una senda muy estrecha. El bosque es muy denso y cerrado; sólo se puede caminar por esa estrecha y oscura senda, resultando un paseo muy divertido. Tras este hayedo y después de una zona despejada, por fin llegamos a la cima. La cima está junto al cortado, con un pequeño buzón montañero con el nombre de Mendibiribila, otra denominación del monte





El descenso es, al principio, por un bosque de robles y coníferas, para abrirse más adelante. La senda siempre es visible

My ascent

The trail is short and easy, which does not mean that it is not very nice and entertaining

We leave from Cicujano, where we leave the car on the outskirts of the village, in a space on the shoulder, past the church of the beheading of St. John the Baptist. What a name...



After crossing the green fence, a climb of about 2.6 km begins, with a 10% gradient, which is climbed comfortably. Part of the climb is through a beautiful oak forest with some conifers and boxwoods. The path is clearly marked although there are many detours on one side and the other that must be controlled. The entire trail is either dirt or dirt with stones; no asphalt



When you reach the ridge, we enter another forest, this time of beech trees, through which the trail runs on a very narrow path. The forest is very dense and closed; you can only walk along this narrow and dark trail, resulting in a very fun walk. After this beech forest and after a clear area, we finally reach the top. The summit is next to the cut, with a small mountain mailbox with the name of Mendibiribila, another denomination of the mountain





The descent is, at first, through a forest of oaks and conifers, to open later. The path is always visible

In summary, nice, short and entertaining trail
