Itinerary description
A circular hike that starts at a "bridge" build by two pipes and then goes through the forest and finally to Maja e Zorzit (= Zorzit peak). The ascent is quite steep and the descent requires surefootedness since the trail is - shortly after the peak - for a few meters a ridge walk (50 cm broad). Maja e Zortit stands at 1663m and gives very good views of the Theth valley.
Parts of the route through the forest and meadow are poorly marked (pic #3). The steep ascent ahead of the peak and the ridge walk make this a difficult trail.

We followed this trail from Theth to the summit and descended the same way (we didn't make the whole loop). The trail was marked and obvious and we didn't have any problems following it. About 3/4 of the trail to Maja Zorzit was through the forest which was very pleasant on a hot summer day in July. Close to the summit it gets rocky and there is a tricky ridge crossing close to the summit. Only because of that part I would not recommend this route with small children or dogs. The view from the top was amazing - definitely worths the effort!
It's true: the hike is epic. Don't underestimate it. It's quite challenging at some points.
