Itinerary description
Very nice roundwalk even on a hot summer day. We did this walk 26 july 2020 and started in the morning ideally around 10:00. When walking in the direction as we did you have a good climb in the morning under the shadow of the trees and an nice and easy down walk (also with a lot af shade from trees) to get to your lunch at 13:00.
Start: We parked our car near the municipal pool, usually plenty of parking spaces available here
In Alcaucin, near some sheds (goat farm is a big word) you enter the pine woods of Alcaucin. The dogs where very friendly, one missing a paw guiding us towards the small trail into the woods. Small but easy to follow trails. Not too steep but going up for a while so you need to have a good condition.
The walk is on small trails as well as on tracks used by lumberjacks. We really enjoyed this roundwalk and the lunch at El Rancho Grande was good for the right price.
In winter or spring you might have to cross a creek halfway the route, on our walk in summer it turned out to dry.
