Itinerary description
This is a brief excursion to a cave that we did on the same afternoon as we did the Estrecho de la Agualeja, only 4.5 km further up the road.
A narrow track winds its way past the few house of Patalaje down across boulders and an old 'acequia' and close to the cave through and under bamboo.
The dominant feature during the short descent is the ruins of the ancient watermill dating from the beginning of the 19th century. This mill was the last one to be built of eleven watermills along the Rambla de Los Molinos.
The cave itself is mainly geologically interesting.
