Our second day in Norway , we stop in the city of Ålesund . It is a city full of art nouveau architecture, since at the beginning of the 20th century it was practically destroyed in its entirety by a fire.
The objective of the day is to spend some time walking around Mount Aksla . We walked for a few minutes through the city to reach the foot of the mountain. The climb to the viewpoint of Fjellstua is done by saving 418 steps . Despite such a number, it is not a difficult climb. More or less halfway up there is a small glass lookout. Up in Fjellstua, the panoramic is impressive.
Although all the people stay in the viewpoint, we continue to go through the forest, which in my opinion, it is essential not to get lost. We go for a small path, which from time to time allows us to enjoy views from one side to the other. We find that the fallen trunks have been modeled and painted to give them the shape of animals. We get to a kind of turret in which the top is a geodesic vertex. We begin the return, we arrive at a stadium, which we skirt to return by the slope of the mount. Then we come to an area of houses next to the forest. We leave this residential area to take a small path. The path ends in stairs, this time it is a small number of steps, which take us back to the streets of the city. We roam again until we reach the port.
