Itinerary description
From the big parking place just off the RM-515 we followed the trail from the hamlet of Vereda to the Mirador de Barrancos de Gebas through the 'badlands' as this desert and moonlike landscape is also called.
It is an impressive trail, especially once you have passed the beautifully situated Mirador de Barrancos de Gebas and you descend into this desert.
We walked until a promontory not far from the Algeciras reservoir but you could also walk to the reservoir itself.
The second part of the walk is, once you have have come out of the desert, through and along orchards of oranges, tangerines, almonds, and olives and the cultivated look with the outline of the Sierra Espuna in front of you is magical and beautiful.
