Alpamayo Charity Trekking 13 Days
The 5% of this price when customers arrive to Peru is donated directly to people or family in needs personally from our clients, the 5% of direct donation may be in Study supplies (notebooks, books, pencils, papers, pens, erasers etc, etc for Schools or individuals) Medicines (common medicines for common health Illnesses) Clothes for Family and Children, we have list of families in needs and they live in country side mainly and this visit could be coordinated as Acclimatizing Trek. Sometimes some villages and some families in needs can be visited in two days, this will supply 3 and 4 day, in this trip the company arranges for the Cultural Interchange or exploration, could be camping or basic family accommodation, for cultural experience. Our organization and company never ask or collect the donation into our bank account, we never ask our guests to give us or to leave the donation in our hands, that is the secure that your donation arrives direct to beneficiaries from your hands


Itinerary

Day 1: Reception ALPAMAYO CIRCUIT CHARITY TREKKING 2015
in the International Airport Lima – Hotel
Our Tour leader in Lima, will wait for you in the airport Lima and transfer to Hotel.
One hour drive to Miraflores district the modern and touristic place where is located the Hotel, dinner and overnight

Day 2: Lima – Huaraz
Take early bus for a contrasting journey ending in the high Andes at the small highland city of Huaraz. We head north through coastal desert to Pativilca, then turn inland and begin climbing NE. As we climb, barren valley sides contrast with cultivated river banks. Cacti gradually give way to scrub, then temperate vegetation and eventually puna grassland. At the journey’s high point, Conococha (4,050 metres), we turn N and descend the Callejon de Huaylas where the huge Cordillera Blanca snow peaks to the right (E) begin to dominate the landscape. The Cordillera Blanca mountain range contains the major concentration of peaks over 6,000 metres outside the Himalayas. We arrive Huaraz (3,090m) late-afternoon, directo to the 3*** Category Hotel
Day 3: Huaraz – Free Day Acclimatizing
Huaraz, a bustling town of 80 thousand inhabitants, is our Andean base. The valley it sits in is known as the 'Callejon de Huaylas'. This is flanked to the east by the Cordillera Blanca, the mountain range with the highest concentration of peaks over 6000 metres outside the Himalayas. Besides offering breathtaking mountain panoramas, featuring Huascarán (Peru’s highest peak at 6,768m), Huandoy (6,395m), Churup and Ranrapalca (6,162 metres), Huaraz is conveniently placed for activities before, between and after the trek. Today we have our trek briefing and take a local walk to see some pre-Inca ruins or walking to closest beautiful lakes like Churup or Huillcacocha, or my be to visit some villages for charity donation that our company always cooperate with local needy
Day 4: Huaraz Full Day Bus Tour to Pre-Inka Complex Chavin de Huantar
This tour is a mix of beautiful scenery with culture and history. No visit to Huaraz is complete without seeing the famous architectural ruins of Chavin, located 109 km from Huaraz in the Conchucos Region. We will leave your hotel around 9:00 a.m., driving through the villages of Recuay, Ticapampa y Catac. We will stop at Querococha Lake, from where we will start to climb until Cahuish Tunnel. From that point we are entering Callejon de los Conchucos, driving through picturesque communities of Tambillos, Machac, Quercos - until we arrive to famous Chavin de Huantar. Between 800-200 B.C., this culture developed a powerful religion which had great influence over many parts of highland and coastal Peru. The great temple contains many stone-lined galleries where Chavin priests consulted their gods (the Great Idol or Lanzon), and performed sacrificial ceremonies. There is also a on-site museum, rather small, but very interesting. We will return to Huaraz after lunch, and finally leave you at your hotel for a well-deserved rest

5 Day: Huaraz – Lake Churup Acclimatizing
Day hike to the turquoise waters of Laguna Churup (4500 meters). Approximately 6 hours round trip. Return to Huaraz

6 Day: Huaraz - Cashapampa – Llamacorral
We will leave Huaraz around 7 am, so breakfast will be at 6am, passengers will be transferred to the trail head Cashapampa 2900masl, where we will meet our donkey drivers, then we will start hiking by narrow valley, we will go up for about 2 hours, then we will have lunch down the tree’s shadow, then we will start going up moderate almost flat area to the first camp Place Llamacorral at 3800masl. Overnight camping

7 Day: Llamacorral – Taullipampa
Today we will hike along the valley moderate enjoying the beautiful lakes called Ichicocha and Jatuncocha, turquoise lakes, the we will arrive to nice spot where will have lunch at the place called Quisuar, then after it we will go up to the Alpamayo south base camp, then after to take pictures we will return short walk then continue for few hours to the next camp place called Taullipampa camping at 4200masl

8 Day: Taullipampa – Tuctupampa
Early in the morning after the Andean breakfast we will start hiking to the PuntaUnion Pass at 4750 masl, we will climb zigzag path, then we will get the pass around 11am then after to enjoy nice views we will descent to the nice lake Morococha to have lunch, then after few hours walking we will arrive to the camp place Tuctupampa at 4200masl overnight camping

9 Day: Tuctupampa – Quisuar
Today we will start climbing to get the Pucaraju pass 4640 masl. We will get there at around 11am, then go down zigzag path nice landscape surrounded by highlands straw and many trees, we will get the Huecroncocha lake to have Lunch in the nice spot. Then after few minutes walking dawn we will get small village called Quisuar, where we will camp in the left side at 3900masl.

10 Quisuar – Jancapampa
We will start our hiking going up moderate path, enjoying field of sheep, we will get the Tupatupa pass 4360masl easily, then we will go down by the base of the Pucajirca mountain and then we will arrive to the next camp place of Jancapampa 3600masl overnight camping

11 Day. Jancapampa – Huillca
We will start hiking early to get the pass on time, Yanacon pass 4610, as always we will be surprised by nice different landscapes, after the pass we will go down to the next camp place called Huillca overnight at 4000masl. camping
12 Day: Huillca – Caracara
Moderate walking first 2 hours to get the Mesapata pass at 4460masl. Then we will walk flat area to the water stream in moyobamba valley to have lunch, then we will continue to the base of the caracara pass where we will camp at 4400masl Caracara

13 Day: Caracara – Jancarurish
Today first 2 hours will be windy, once we will get the Caracara pass 4830masl we will be surpriced by many white peak mountains, then after to take pictures we will start going down and in the middle of going down we will be faced to Alpamayo in its north face, then we will going down we will arrive to our camp place of Jancarurish at 4200masl overnight facing at Alpamayo’s north face.

14 Day: Jancarurish Rest Day
Today is rest day and we will walk to the Base camp of Alpamayo in north side, from there we will get many pictures of the mountains and we will return to the base camp for overnight at 4200 masl.

15 Day: Jancarurish – Osoruri
Today we will walk down along the Alpamayo valley until Ruinapampa, where the pre-inkas terraces we will appreciate, from here we will start climbing zigzag path and in the middle of climbing, we will have lunch, then we will get the Ichicvientona pass 4770masl, then after short rest and take pictures we will descent for a few minutes to the camp place of Osoruri and overnight at 4650masl.

16 Day: Osoruri – Calamina
After breakfast we will walk up for about one hour to get the Jatunvientona pass 4860 masl, then we will go down a few meters down and we will be surpriced by a nice spot, a beatuful blue lake of Cullicocha in the base of Santa Cruz massif, we will get offshore the lake to have lunch. Then after rest in the lunch time we will continue going down to the camp place of Calamina, from this camp place we will appreciate nice sunset over the Black Mountain in front us. Overnight at 3650masl.camping.

17 Day: Calamina - Hulcayan - Huancarhuaz
Today our last hiking day, we will arrive first to the small village of Hualcayan where we will find very basic shop, and National Park entrance control, to check out, then After few minutes walking we will have lunch and we will get early to Huancarhuash Hot springs for relax and camping in the Small village of Conay or Huancarhuas at 2850masl.

18 Day: Huancarhuaz - Cashapampa - Huaraz
After the last Andean breakfast we will aboard the bus at 9am aprox. We will feel that we rounded Alpamayo circuit, then we will arrive to the first town of Caraz 2293masl, then we will continue driving to Carhuas for lunch, we will stop in the nice spot to have Lunch, then we will continue to Huaraz arriving at 3 or 4pm aprox and overnight in Hotel – Huaraz
Day 19: Huaraz – Lima
after the breakfast in the Hotel transfer to Bus Station in Huaraz and transfer to Lima, where our tour leader with his taxi will be waiting for the passengers and transfer to Hotel in Lima
Day 20: Lima – City Tours
Your guided Lima Peru city tour starts at the Plaza Mayor (Plaza de Armas). You will visit the cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace and the San Francisco Church. Inside San Francisco church, the most magnificent colonial and monumental center of the America's, you find a Basilica with 21 altars, the convent with the cloister, the Clementina and Capitular room, the choir, the monks library and the Profundis Museum that exhibits 11 paintings of Rubens. The sacristia exhibits paints of Zurbaran and Rivera. The Gran Patio is garnished with Seville's tiles from the XVI century and moorish arcs. You can visit the underground tombs (catacumbas). Around 12 o'clock you can see the famous ceremonial changing of the guard in front of the presidential palace
Day 21: Lima – USA / Europe
breakfast in the Hotel and transfer to the International Airport Lima for flight Back Home

• Insect repellent, absolutely the most important item for this hike is bug spray. Anything with a lot of DEET with do the job, anything less is simply not sufficient. Bug spray MUST be bought in Huaraz, as it cannot be found even in neighboring towns.

• Selection of small snacks, chocolate, dried fruit, biscuits, energy bars etc,
• Camera, plenty of film and spare batteries, cash in soles and US$
• Swimsuit (if you plan on visiting the hot springs at Hunacarhuaz after the trek)
• Optional: walking Poles /sticks rubber covers necessary (can be hired from our office for US$06 each one for the 4 day trek)
• You also need to bring a copy of your passport on the trail.

(1) Personal horse for riding while on the trek with and extra cost, you can have a personal horse to ride any time you may need.
(2) Vegetarian Meals. We can provide vegetarian meals or cater for special diets with no extra cost. Just let us know at time of reservation prior to trek departure.
(3) Sleeping bag hire. If you do not have a sleeping bag or you do not want the hassle of bringing one all to Peru with you then we have sleeping bags in our office for rent. The price is US$12 per person per day.

Reservation details: All trek reservations must be made in advance (however many months in advance is recommended especially during the months of April, May, June, July, August and September)

Payment details: We will require a non-refundable trek deposit of 10% per person payable at the time of Reservation and we will confirm you by e-mail or phone confirming your trek booking. The deposit could be paid by Our VISA CREDIT CARD - Payment On-Line, Money Gram International or money transfer to our Peruvian Bank account and these are our fastest most secure form of payments in Peru. Further details of how to send the deposit are included with our trek booking confirmation email. The remaining balance is to be paid in Lima one day prior to your departure date. Payment can be made in cash US$, local currency (Peruvian Soles), or in Euros

>> Other information <<
• Luggage storage. When you go on the trek it is best to leave any luggage that you are not going to need behind in Huaraz. Nearly all the hotels in Huaraz provide secure luggage deposit. Put any valuables in their safe. Very rarely do hotels charge for this service especially if you are returning to the same hotel after the trek. If there are any problems with your hotel we can arrange to store your luggage at our office.
• Time of arrival in Huaraz you will return to your hotel in Huaraz for approximately 6:30pm on the last day of the trek
