Itinerary description
A straight march from the train station at Altafulla to Tarragona along the coast.
Total time here is misleading as I stopped off at beaches along the way, on a very hot day. Probably best avoided during hotter days in summer as the final stretch into Tarragona can become a bit monotonous.
This route includes Cala Fonda, also known as Cala Waikiki, which is largely naturist and one of the most beautiful beaches along this stretch of coast. If you don’t want a naturist beach, La Mora beach (reached after Tamarit castle and just before Cala Fonda) is also excellent.
