Itinerary description
We parked our car in a big parking place that is easily accessible from Alzira or Corbera.
From here you can do a number of walks including a circular route via La Cabreta , Cavall Bernat, Col de Sansofi and Creu de Cardenal, which according to the info panel is a difficult one.
We chose to walk through the the Vall de la Murta, passing the ruins of the Monestir de Santa Maria de la Murta following a wide pleasant track that as it gets higher gives you wonderful views of the valley, always following the yellow/white markings.
At about a height of 350 metres a narrow steep track goes up to the Col de Sansofi, very well signposted and from there the track goes up to the Creu de Cardenal. For this last part you will have to use your hands to climb the rocks but it is never really dangerous.
We went back the the same route until we got to the junction that indicates the way to the Font de La Murta and followed this broad, very pleasant track giving you beautiful views, also back to the Creu de Cardenal.
