Anaga. Casa Forestal de Anaga - Playa de San Roque

This walk starts at the casa forestal Anaga (F12). Becauce track PR TF (whit - yellow) is a circular one you can choose between a strong hike downhill at the beginning, or a strong hike uphill at the end. We have chosen for a pleasant forest road to walk down and a steeper and more rockier way to go up. We start behind a small cottage on a forest trail PR TF 8 (white yellow) direction Taganana.This path goes through the forest in curves down and is very pleasant walking.After an hour walking the forest trail stop and you will walk over an old camino There you walk between terraces where you have grapes, oranges etc. Of the terraces you walk through a beautiful part of Taganana (portugal), it is the oldest part of the town. You put a step back in time and it is well worth it to take a look in this part of the village. Right you can see the main road and at the end of Portugal we make a right turn and go a 600 m walk on the main road towards Roque de las bodegas.In Roque de las bodegas you'll find a few restaurants and approximately in the Middle next to a little restaurant you will find a signpost with PR TF 4 (white-yellow)towards el Bailadero and here it starts to go up. After some time you come again on the main street you walk there than about 5 minutes and then immediately left again and continue the path which passes into the PR TF 3.This is the last part of the walk and bring you back at Casa forestal. Even though the temperature at sea level was pleasantly warm it was in the beginning and in the last part cold and there was a lot of wind so be prepared for it. Difference in altitude in this walk is 1000 m and it takes about 5 hours.
