Incredible 10-day circular trekking in Nepal through the "Annapurna Consevation Area" park, reaching the Annapurna base camp at 4200m.
There are no words to describe the sensations of being inside the Himalayas ... The magnitude of the valleys, the height of its mountains, the luxuriance of the forests, the personality of its people ...
Of course I plan to return.
The name of "Sanctuary" comes to him because we border on its southwestern face Mount Machhapuchare (Fish Tail / Cola de Pez), which is a sacred mountain and it is forbidden to climb it. Meat can not be eaten from Sinuwa (from the fourth to the eighth day). It is present throughout the journey and is by far the most beautiful mountain of trekking.
This trekking in question is quite easy, since the stages are short ... I think we could have done it in 8 days without problems, but it is worth doing as the guides tell you to enjoy it calmly.

Annapurna Sanctuary Trek
The trek into the area below the massive south face of Annapurna - known as the Annapurna Sanctuary - is one of the most popular treks in Nepal. The trek begins in Pokhara and leads up through the breathtaking Modi Khola gorge into the vast mountain ringed amphitheatre of the Sanctuary.
As we trek through bamboo and rhododendron forests we have superb views of the Annapurna range. We eventually pass between the mountains of Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli which guard the entrance to the Sanctuary, and after 6 days reach our goal, the high glacial basin that is the site of the Annapurna south face base camp. This is a classic trek, which allows access to the high mountains of the Himalaya within a reasonable timeframe and with a maximum altitude of 4000m. Accommodation and food is provided in the local lodges. Transport to Pokhara is by private coach. This trek ends in Pokhara.

Day 01: Fly/ drive Kathmandu to Pokhara.
Day 02:Drive to Nayapul,Trek to Tikhedhunga (1540)
Day 03: Trek to Ghorepani (2855m)
Day 04: Trek to Tadapani.(2590m)
Day 05: Trek to Chomrong (2170m)
Day 06: Trek to Himalaya Hotel (2900m)
Day 07: Himalaya Hotel to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC) (3700m)
Day 08: MBC -Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) & back to MBC or Deurali.
Day 09: MBC/Deurali to Bamboo (2500m)
Day 10: Bamboo to Chomorong. (2170m)
Day 11: Chomorong to Ghandruk (1940m)
Day 12: Ghandruk to Tolkha. (1710m)
Day 13: Tolkha to Dhampus. (1510m)
Day 14: Dhampus to Pokhara. (820m)

En esta tierra llena de contrastes he contactado a varias agencias desde septiembre del ano pasado, esta fue la única que me contestó los mails “casi” inmediatamente, ese detalle definitivamente hizo la diferencia y los escogí. Necesitaba a alguien en Nepal para hacer todo el papeleo para mi viaje a Bhutan, algunos viajeros recomiendan hacer esto desde Nepal por que es más rápido y seguro, definitivamente para mi resultó ser la major opción.
Posteriormente contrate el trekking al Annapurna Base Camp y fue una increíble experiencia, la diferencia la hace inevitablemente la persona que te acompana, en este caso en Ganesh Adhikari, mi guía, encontré a una gran persona y además un amigo.
Sobre Bhutan solo agregar que fue una de las mejores experiencias que he tenido en la vida, también acá tengo palabras de profundo agradecimiento para Dewa Samdrup, mi guía. Este gran tipo fue capaz de comprender todo lo que buscaba encontrar en Bhutan, que era absolutamente opuesto a todo lo que van a buscar los visitantes comunes, resultó ser un grandísimo amigo que me permitió insertarme en la cultura de su país y conocer muchas personas honestas, sencillas y muy felices.
Quiero terminar este comentario recalcando el trabajo profesional y dedicado de Kabiraj Nepal “The Boss”, siempre preocupado por cada uno de los detalles y tratando siempre de mejorar la experiencia del cliente, llega a ser cargante el weon…
Definitivamente recomiendo esta agencia, cotizar es importante, pero acá encontré por suerte quizás a un par de tipos grandísimos, esta agencia cumple, tiene buenos precios y un excelente servicio.

Pregunta: es necesario hacerlo con guía o puede ser de manera independiente?

eseoane, no es necesario hacerlo con guía, la ruta es fácil de seguir. Pero tendrás que pedir los permisos, en Pokhara o al comienzo del trekking en Nayapul, y sobre todo reservar los alojamientos por tu cuenta. Los "lodge", pequeños hoteles de montaña, suelen estar bastante llenos y hay que reservar al menos con 24h de antelación, los grupos con guía tienen prioridad...

Hice esta ruta en 6 días, de Gorepani a Chomrong fue durisimo, pero de Jhinu Danda y sus preciosas hotsprings regreseé via Photana! Buena aportación.

wow gracias por compartirla ! estoy planeando ir a Nepal del 11 al 24 de Noviembre y estaba buscando un trekking de entre 7-10 días, este me ha convencido! te resultó fácil reservar los albergues por adelantado? En cuanto a los permisos, sabes si se pueden tramitar online ? Gracias!
De nada Javi, te va a encantar este trekking. Nosotros a este fuimos con guía y se encargó él de los alojamientos y permisos. Los lodges los reservaba llamando uno o dos días antes, cuanto mas arriba estas mas problemas hay con el alojamiento, los lodges son mas pequeños y hay menos. Tienen prioridad los grupos con guía. Los permisos en 2012 no se podían tramitar online...

Yo me voy a hacer este trekking el día 14 de octubre y aunque voy con una agencia pequeña y llevamos alojamientos en lodges me gustaría saber si para dormir hace frio. Tengo un saco medio pero no se si me vale. Que me puedes decir al respecto. Muchas gracias.
Hola parojapa, nosotros dormíamos con un saco medio de temperatura confort +4º, y no pasamos nada de frío. De todas formas creo recordar que hay mantas. ¡Que envidia me das! ¡Que poco te queda!
