Araya Circular ⭐⭐⭐⭐

OPGELET! OPGELET! Deze route is NIET geschikt voor mensen met hoogtevrees en is niet zonder gevaar!!!! Het ondernemen van deze route is OP EIGEN RISICO!
De wandeling start net buiten het kleine dorpje Araya aan de Barranco de las Vigas aan de voeten van het "espacio natural protegido del Parque Natural de la Corona Forestal". We trekken meteen van start met een stevige klim via Sendero Local SL 296 naar La Mesa. Bij helder weer heeft u eens boven een prachtig zicht over de Valle de Güímar en de oceaan. Eens we boven zijn volgen we het pad door het Corona Forestal tot aan het kanaal van Araya. We genieten van een prachtige natuur op onze weg. Aan het kanaal verlaten we het pad en slaan rechtsaf om het kanaal te volgen. De laatste 2,5km zijn wel de gevaarlijkste van de hele wandeling! Wij raden iedereen ten zeerste aan BIJZONDER VOORZICHTIG te zijn bij het wandelen over het kanaal! Sommige stukken zijn goed beveiligd, andere minder of zelfs niet! We herhalen het nogmaals: OP EIGEN RISICO! Indien u niet zeker bent of twijfelt, doe het NIET! Bovendien moeten we waarschuwen dat sommige betonnen dekstenen IN SLECHTE STAAT ZIJN! Sommige stenen zijn zelfs al kapot! Hou er rekening mee dat u "voorzichtig" stapt want de stenen kunnen altijd breken! Waar het kanaal na een bocht even door de berg gaat kunt u NIET door! U dient even ervoor het kanaal te verlaten via een pad links van het kanaal die even rond de berg loopt maar zeer goed doenbaar is! Als u deze nodige voorzorgen in acht neemt wacht u zeker een fantastische wandeling!

El paseo comienza a las afueras del pequeño pueblo de Araya en el Barranco de las Vigas a los pies del "espacio natural protegido del Parque Natural de la Corona Forestal". Inmediatamente comenzamos con una fuerte subida por Sendero Local SL 296 a La Mesa. Cuando el tiempo está despejado se tiene una hermosa vista sobre el Valle de Güímar y el océano. Una vez arriba seguimos el camino por la Corona Forestal hasta el Canal de Araya. Disfrutamos de una hermosa naturaleza en nuestro camino. En el canal dejamos el camino y giramos a la derecha para seguir el canal. ¡Los últimos 2,5 km son los más peligrosos de toda la caminata! ¡Recomendamos encarecidamente a todos que tengan MUCHO CUIDADO al caminar por el canal! ¡Algunas piezas están bien aseguradas, otras menos o nada! Lo repetimos nuevamente: ¡BAJO SU PROPIO RIESGO! Si no estás seguro o tienes dudas, ¡NO LO HAGAS! Además, debemos advertir que algunos cimientos de hormigón ¡ESTÁN EN MAL ESTADO! ¡Algunas piedras ya están rotas! ¡Ten en cuenta que pisas con "cuidado" porque las piedras siempre pueden romperse! ¡Donde el canal atraviesa la montaña después de una curva, NO se puede pasar! Tienes que salir del canal un poco antes por un camino a la izquierda del canal que rodea la montaña por un rato pero es muy factible. Si toma estas precauciones necesarias, ¡seguro que tendrá un paseo fantástico!

Once we are at the top, we follow the path through the Corona Forestal to the Araya Canal. We enjoy a beautiful nature on our way. At the canal we leave the path and turn right to follow the canal. The last 2.5 km are the most dangerous of the entire walk! We strongly advise everyone to be PARTICULARLY CAREFUL when walking the canal! Some pieces are well secured, others less so or not at all! We repeat it again: AT YOUR OWN RISK! If you are not sure or in doubt, DO NOT DO IT! In addition, we must warn that some concrete capping stones ARE IN BAD CONDITION! Some stones are even broken! Keep in mind that you step "carefully" because the stones can always break! Where the canal goes through the mountain after a bend, you can NOT go through! You have to leave the canal a little before that via a path to the left of the canal that goes around the mountain for a while but is very doable! If you take these necessary precautions, you will certainly have a fantastic walk!
