Itinerary description

I did the trail in late September 2016, and it is still perfectly walkable. The downside is that the fire has devastated the vegetation and much of the walk is through arid areas where there used to be trees. It was also lacking in wildlife, with not many birds, butterflies or dragonflies to be seen. I did see a group of six moufflon though. I also found a small church just before the reservoir that I didn't know was there. It had previously been hidden by the trees. It is, however, still interesting to do the walk and see just what effect the fire has had in the forest. There are signs of vegetation coming back, but the area will need lots of rain in the winter months.

Thank you for this upload. It was very useful.

The trail is marked for a shorter or a longer version. We did the longer one, which is about 10Km/6+ miles and more of a circle on the map.
However, it was well signposted so does not require an additional upload. There were a couple of steepish climbs but it was all on good tracks.

Agreed, it is a beautiful route.

(Our main difficulty was finding the right car road to get back to the coast! Take note of the way you came up!)

Thank you for your comment Sophielo. I have not done this trail since June so was not aware of the problems caused by the fires. I will update the trail in September.

Nous vous remercions de votre commentaire Sophielo. Je ne l'ai pas fait cette piste depuis Juin n'a donc pas été au courant des problèmes causés par les incendies. Je mettrai à jour la piste en Septembre.

    Hello Ray,

Did you do it in September? Is it ok?
Thinking to go there in November.

    Thanks
