*** At Feb 2024, we have a walk report that the route is now obstructed by a large solar panels installation. ***
At 5.6 km in length, with a very modest 185 m overall ascent, this is a gentle introduction to walking in the wide-open landscapes of Arico with its golden stone terraces. There are great coastal views and to the mountains. Arico Nuevo is a very charming stop-off along the way.

Con 5.6 km de longitud, con un ascenso general muy modesto de 185 m, esta es una introducción suave para caminar en los paisajes abiertos de Arico con sus terrazas de piedra dorada. Hay excelentes vistas de la costa y de las montañas. Arico Nuevo es una parada muy encantadora en el camino.

Ruta agradable y sin grandes esfuerzos.
We started out on this walk today, however, there is a massive field of solar panels which seems to cover part of the route? We tried skirting around but the ground was very overgrown. We wondered if this had been built recently but can't find any information?
