Itinerary description

I took the 342 Teide bus from Costa Adeje bus station direct to Arona. The walk up to Ifonche was mostly up hill. I highly recommend using walking poles. Take plenty of water. The natural scenery, foliage and birds singing was fantastic. Again the view from Roque Imoque is worth the walk up. On my return to Arona the scenery wasn't as good. There is a second route via a dried up river bed which is signposted Fuento de las Pilas. On my return I walked past a Restaurant / tapas El Refugio. It is open 11:00 to 17:00. It is closed Friday and Saturday. This walk ends at the bus stop in Arona. There is a tapas bar, which you pass. one minute from the bus stop.
