Itinerary description
A relatively simple walk around the lake between Dili and Aileu. The trail starts at about 1000 meters above the sea and then goes up no more then about 250 meters.
Half way down the track, you cross the river. Depending on the season, this can be a very small stream or a wider and wetter river. When we crossed the river, we were able to just go through it bare foot and the water didn't reach higher then our knees. It maybe however prudent to take some extra footwear with you to cross the river to ensure you're not walking the rest of the hike with wet shoes.
Near the way point AR01, we took the wrong way and ended up walking a bit different then planned. So when you walk this road, we recommend to take the (untested) path between the way points AR01 and AR20. It will make the trail a bit longer, but we think it will also be a slightly nice path.
