Itinerary description
Trail starts at Valdevaqueros Playa a few kilometers away from the exit to Bolonia. Gorgeous day hike that starts on a popular beach, ascends to the top of an interesting geological feature dotted with rock shelters and has an amazing view of Africa, then it descends through a forest and parallels a large arroyo before sending you through a dune ecosystem and deposits you on an isolated and beautiful beach. The walk back to the Valdevaqueros Playa can be done along the beach with a few difficult spots where it is rocky or can be done higher up on the dune trail, but the beach is a great spot to cool down and relax. On a very warm day in late March, we saw no one on the trail and only three people on the isolated part of the beach. I did the entire walk while wearing flip flops, as I had brought my hiking shoes and planned on putting them on when the trail got rough, but it was never necessary. The walk has it listed at 4 hours, but we stopped several times for lunch/photos/beach lounging etc and I did not hit pause on the app, so it would be more accurate to call it a three hour walk or much less if you are trail running. When you get to the beach, do not try and follow our exact route as it may change depending on tides, weather etc and we had to ascend from the beach in one spot to clear a large boulder field at the base of a cliff.

Ruta muy bonita y variada de paisaje. El track muy fácil de seguir. Muy buena la descripción de la ruta. Al final antes de llegar a playa zona con matorral bajo que pinchaba un poco. No hacerla en chanclas como la hizo la persona que colgó la ruta!! Yo la hice en Agosto con viento de poniente. Perfecto!!
