Arroyo El Laurel, Entrerrios, Mijas
This is a circular walk that starts from the Albergue municipal summer school in Entrerrios.
From the parking area outside the school you head down towards the laurel stream and then turn left into it.
Today there was quite a bit of water running, so it was a challenge to navigate your way up the arroyo, with quite a few crossings using stepping stones. Just use your judgement to take the best route.
Not a walk to do after heavy rains. I would recommend waiting two weeks after the last rains. (Or take waterproof boots).
Eventually you will leave the stream and follow a dirt track (damaged by rain) and then getting onto several rural roads that eventually bring you back to the start, full circle.
This walk is easier to do when the arroyo Laurel is dry.
There are some lovely views of the countryside and El Camorro Mountain.
There are 2 bars near the start of the walk but I don’t know if they will ever open again. (Again due to the pandemic).
