Itinerary description
This and the holy lakes tour are probably the two most popular hikes around Arslanbob. This hike guides you through the famous walnut forests. In summer it can be quite hot. Therefore, spring and autumn might be more recommendable for the hike. Most people just stay at the western edges of the forest (waterfall and viewpoint) and do not walk through the forest.
In winter you can walk through the forest with snow shoes. The local CBT office (https://cbtkyrgyzstan.kg/cbt/russkij-tos-arstanbap/) even offers the possibility to do some back country skiing in winter (~ December - February).

Nice and easy (family-friendly) walk. I enjoyed spending the whole day in the forest - after all, a rare opportunity in Kyrgyzstan.
