Itinerary description
Pulsaciones a mil!
Route close to Bilbao today as we needed to be back early.
Having left the car in a small car park in front of the concrete factory, we start walking towards the neighbourhood of Burbustu, but before we arrive, we take the path to the right where you can see a sign of the Consorcio de Aguas (water authority). Then a couple of gentle kilometres as we zig-zag up the mountain before arriving at the foot of the really tough part of the climb - 1km in a straight line in which we have go up 250m. After a couple of photos, we continue past the chapel of San Segismundo and start the climb to Upo. The last few metres are brutal, even tougher than the previous climb, so we reach the top with our hearts pounding away. Then a long descent, steep at first and then easier, back to the car.
