Itinerary description

Unique trail to Collao Jermoso refugee (aprox. 2100m)

The trail starts 2-3km away from Santa María de Valdeón. It is possible to park the car on the side of the road (just space for 4-5cars).

From the parking spot, it is mostly going up. Cliffs and tricky rocky trails on the way to the refugee. Very beautiful if you like rocky mountains... you are going up to 2000 high meters above the sea level, there is no flora there.

Sleeping options: on the way you will hike through Vega de Liordes (see last picture), there is a little cabin there and a fountain, very nice to spend the night. The other option, of course, is in side the refugee “Collao Jermoso” (check in their web for prices). Next to the regufee is possible to do vivac or camping.

Come back to the car:
-Using the same trail. Probably the easiest option (straight and less high meters).

Round trips back to the car:
-Trail to Fuente Dé. From there back to Sta Maria de Valdeón. Moderate difficulty.
-Trail to Cordiñanes. From there, take the trail back to Sta Maria de Valdeón. (Very hard... even more when you go down. Requires scrambling steeps)

Note: I wanted to upload the second day trail, but I forgot turning off the gps when we where back in the car and drove with it on for a wile... I am sorry. Down hesitate asking me any question.
