Itinerary description
Although you Leave and return to El Martínez along a track the route is primarily a circular walk on the ridge around El Chive, taking in the peak of Atalaya at 888m.
A clear track for a few Kilometres gives way to a path of varied clarity but not too difficult to follow. Then there is a bit of easy hands on scrambling to the top and along the ridge. The decent is gentle and easy to follow to the road. After the road the path becomes a little indistinct at times until a track is reached. After the track the route follows a rambla for few kilometres until another track is reached that brings you back to the start of the loop. From here retrace your steps back to El Martínez.
