Itinerary description
This is a bizarre walk through, on the one hand an area of beautifully situated residential apartment blocks with a splendid view on the Mediterranean towards Marbella and, on the other hand, a series of unfinished apartment blocks and blocks of which only the skeletons are visisble. No machinery, no signs of building, just unfinished buildings. There are hundreds of these ghost apartments. It seems as if a whole village does not live there anymore, or rather never got the chance of living there.
The strange thing is that the infrastructure as far as roads are concerned has been finished, up to signs for pedestrians who may cross the road and parking spaces for handicapped people. It is weird, though, to see these signs on roads that have been blocked for cars and that are patrolled by security cars.
Nevertheless there are some nice views on this walk on the coast both in the direction of Estepona and Marbella and in the direction of Gibraltar and on the Sierra de Bermeja.
