Barranco Tegüigo ⭐⭐⭐

Vandaag kozen we voor een iets avontuurlijke wandeling net boven Güímar. We reden wat verder naar boven tot aan de Capilla de San Juan waar we onze wagen plaatsten. De wandeling is 4,5km klimmen en evenveel km dalen. We wandelen in het begin vooral door landbouwgebied waar kleine finca's hun groenten telen. Wat verder op het einde van het brede pad versmalt de barranco plots en na de nauwe passage krijg je een echt spectaculair zicht want dan wandel je pas goed in de nauwe barranco. Het zicht om je heen is werkelijk prachtig. Op het einde van het pad vind je restanten van oude machines (o.a een oude generator) die vermoedelijk in vroegere tijden dienden om het water in stroom om te zetten. Terug langs dezelfde weg, maar dat gaat een stuk vlotter omdat dit continue dalen is. Echt een prachtige wandeling!

Hoy optamos por una caminata un poco aventurera justo por encima de Güímar. Condujimos un poco más hasta la Capilla de San Juan donde estacionamos nuestro auto. Desde la caminata son 4.5 km de ascenso en tantos km de descensos. Al principio caminamos principalmente por áreas agrícolas donde pequeñas fincas cultivan sus verduras. Un poco más adelante, al final del camino ancho, las parcelas del barranco se estrechan en el pasaje estrecho y se obtiene una vista realmente espectacular, luego solo se camina correctamente hacia el barranco cercano. La vista a tu alrededor es realmente hermosa. Al final del camino encontrará restos de máquinas antiguas (incluido un generador antiguo) que probablemente solían convertir el agua en electricidad en épocas anteriores. De vuelta por el mismo camino, pero eso es mucho más suave porque es un descenso continuo. ¡Un paseo realmente hermoso!

Today we opted for a slightly adventurous hike just above Güímar. We drove a little further up to the Capilla de San Juan where we parked our car. From the hike it is 4.5 km of climbing in as many km of descents. In the beginning we mainly walk through agricultural areas where small fincas grow their vegetables. A little further at the end of the wide path the ravine parcels narrows in the narrow passage you get a truly spectacular view then you only walk properly into the nearby ravine. The view around you is really beautiful. At the end of the path you will find remnants of old machines (including an old generator) that probably used to convert the water into electricity in earlier times. Back along the same road, but that is a lot smoother because this is continuous descending. A really beautiful walk!
