Itinerary description
I hiked this in both directions (Valderrobres-Beceite-Valderrobres) for a total of about nine miles, and it's one of my all-time favorites. It's Stage 2 of the Camino Natural del Matarraña-Algars. The most stunning part is the half closer to Beceite: For a while, the narrow trail is wedged between a cliff and a stone wall, with stunning views. Closer to Valderrobres, it passes through olive groves. There is a brief period where it passes a quarry, and that's less pleasant, but it's only a few minutes. Stop for lunch in either town.
