Itinerary description
Park your car or take the bus (Bizkaibus 3513) to Bedarona.
From here you can go up through the village and drop down through the pine woods to save going along road. You come out at the lime kiln called "Etxebarriko karobia". From here head towards Olabe. Pass Elorrixa, and Olabe farmhouses before arriving at the picnic spot at San Bartolome. A festival is held here every 24 August. From here head down the trail made by pine loggers to the main road. Keep and eye out for Jays, Green Woodpeckers and Red Squirrels. At the road take a left for 100 yards. Cross over the road onto the grass verge where it is safer. Take the fork in the road down to the right and go past the electric sub-station. You will see a farmhouse on your left and the dog will bark. Take a right along the marked trail towards Ea that follows the river. From here you arrive at the ancient Urtubiaga foundry. Keep following the trail into Ea village. From here you can head towards the beach and back up towards Talako Ama, Bix, Larra farmhouse and back into Bedarona.
The whole circuit takes between 2 to 2.5 hours.
